About Us

Who We Are

Established as non-profit and non-governmental in 2001 organisation by development professionals and activists of United Mission to Nepal, Resource Identification and Management Society Nepal (RIMS-Nepal) works in Nepal for livelihood of the poor and marginalised community; climate change adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DDR); energy, health and sanitation; agriculture and food security; and bio-diversity conservation and ecosystem management. RIMS-Nepal aims at enhancing well-being of impact groups by managing resources, building capacity, promoting social justice and developing multi stakeholder partnership. Registered under Non-Government Registration Act 2034 of Nepal, RIMS-Nepal has affiliation with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Government of Nepal.

What We Do

RIMS-Nepal has been pioneer and dedicated organisation in development sector. In the past years, it has gained trust and recognition at national as well as international level as a pioneer organisation in community forestry, governance, climate change and pro-poor development. RIMS-Nepal aspires to expand and scale up good practice, technology and knowledge to wider geographical areas and communities. RIMS-Nepal carries out research, advocacy and development works under thematic sectors. We are partner of choice to communities, government, and other public and private institutions of national and international origins in areas of livelihoods, food security, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, natural resource management and community development. We emphasis on bottom-up approach, are open to flexible, adaptable solutions and are marked for empowering communities through efficient and effective use of the natural resources.

In the past years, it has gained trust and recognition at national as well as international level as a pioneer organisation in community forestry, governance, climate change and pro-poor development.
